Today, May 15, is annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), and a year ago today, GitHub signed the Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) Pledge, as described in the GitHub blog. In that pledge, GitHub promised to "Empower people with disabilities to contribute to open source". I have a disability and I read that blog post a year ago today and filed this GitHub issue:

I have been waiting a year to get that feature I described in that issue. I am now filing this follow-up issue in 2026 as a nudge.
p.s. If you look in the comments, there are people other than me who can benefit. For example, project managers can use the lines of code search feature for scoping.
