How did i get the blue shark achievement on github profile? i see videos in youtube but those are 4 month or 1 years ago videos..so i do their process but it didnt work..

The Pull Shark achievement is still available. To earn it, you need to create pull requests that get merged. The base badge is awarded after 2 merged PRs, with higher tiers unlocked at 16, 128, and 1024 merged PRs.

Current Requirements (2026)

• Pull Shark (Blue): 2 merged pull requests
• Higher levels require many more (16 / 128 / 1024 merged PRs)

Important: The PRs must be created by you and then merged (you can merge your own PRs).

Easy & Working Method Right Now

1. Create a new public repository → github.com/new
2. Add or edit the README.md file (click the pencil icon)
3. Make any small change (add a sentence, emoji, etc.)
4. At the bottom, select "Create a new branch for this commit..."
5. Click Commit changes
6. Click Create pull request → then Merge pull request
7. Repeat the process one more time (total 2 merged PRs)

After the second merge, refresh your profile page. The blue shark should appear within a few minutes to a few hours.

What actually works right now: your PR needs to be created by your account and merged into a public repository. The simplest approach is through the GitHub web interface:
